Tabby is a text editor focused on privacy and simplicity.
You may download it or find it on the play store.
This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled by Tabby (the "App").
Tabby is designed to be a completely offline application. The App does not have permission to access the internet. None of the text you write, the files you open, or any other data you input ever leaves your device through this App.
Tabby does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. To provide a consistent user experience, the App stores the following information locally on your device:
File References: A list of file paths (URIs) for the tabs you currently have open, so they can be restored when you reopen the App.
App State: Basic state information, such as which tab was active and your last scroll position in a file.
File Content: The App only accesses file content that you explicitly choose to open via the system file picker.
Tabby requests only the minimum necessary permissions to function:
Tabby does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services.
Since all data remains on your device, the security of your data depends on the security of your Android device itself.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. However, the core principle of Tabby—that it remains an offline-only tool—will not change.
