I've degoogled my main phone. F-droid is now my only app store. I took the time to do a bit of digging and found some nice things I'd like to share.
Basicsync takes care of syncing notes, photos, music and videos with my computers. davx5 syncs my contacts with radicale, kashcal directly syncs with a calendar hosted on my server with radicale.
For photos, I really like "lomo camera", with its minimal ui. I review the photos in Iris gallery which is light and snappy, but a bit too featurefull for my taste.
My home screen used to be "text launcher" but now its also a vibe coded alternative which gets rid of the search, among other things.
Binary eye is fantastic to read qr codes. I've found it handy that it can also make a QR code from raw text.
I used to rely on juicessh to connect to my servers, but now ConnectBot does the job just as well.
I tried a few games and liked Edge Roll's simple inputs, and "find words" as a light brain teaser. "quiet grid" has tastefully created clones of many board games. I haven't played much Breakout 71 or Zala recently, too busy with other projects. But my idea list if full of potential games i'd like to build one day.
My email are in thunderbird, vlc reads videos (no more youtube or nebula), breezy weather tells me if it will rain.
My browser is fennec, and I get to mastodon through snowdrop. My keyboard is Thumb-key, I love that keyboard.
I downloaded wireguard and signal as apks manually as they are not on fdroid. Signal works without the google play services, nice. I edit texts with Tabby, a text editor I vibe coded, still a bit rough but already my favorite as it has so few features.
